5 Reasons Why You Need a Work-At-Home Schedule

Let us hear this story from a friend of mine who narrates it as below:

Working from home has its benefits, including the freedom it evokes:

there is no need for a time clock, time sheets,

 or an employer to whom you must give an account of your time usage.

Yes, the offer is appealing, but as with so many appealing offers,

 there is a significant drawback: you will probably waste a lot of time.

Every day, my husband takes time to complete

these extensive spreadsheets in order to track his day.

 He works for a sizable engineering firm,

 and he frequently works on a number of projects for several clients throughout the course of a day.

He abhors it, and I've always thought it was a waste of time.

That is, until my home company just took off and I realized there weren't

enough hours in the day to get everything done.

My productivity has increased significantly,

and my stress level has decreased significantly,

since I started using my own spread sheet and daily agenda.

If you don't believe that your home company need a schedule,

reconsider, and continue reading.

My "To Do" list appeared to increase rapidly every time

 I glanced at it after a run of pretty unproductive days,

and I knew something had to change.

To be fair, I was having a difficult time.

 My husband wasn't doing his fair share around the house,

 my four-year-old was only attending preschool part-time,

and my extended family was going through a number of problems.

 My home company was also going through growing pains

 and eating up more time than usual. However,

 I'm old enough to understand that there is never a perfect moment in life;

 you simply have to make the most of the present.

Simply put, these are my current issues for this year.

 These issues will be replaced by new, recent ones the next year.

I discovered five causes to love the schedule

after analyzing my time and speaking with some other work-from-home individuals:

1. it’s too simple to lose time on low priority things.

2. It is far too simple to become sidetracked or distracted from your current activity.

3. Unscheduled work time can frequently overlap with free time until there is no longer any free time left.

 4. Free time can frequently overlap with work time until you fall behind on crucial assignments.

5. You'll accomplish more by focusing your time and energy on the most important tasks.

Not everyone has a home-based business,

 therefore my schedule is not unique. Recently,

I participated in an online discussion where both men and women had made the decision to accept it.

 I discovered that it was more liberating than constricting.

 Since you are still in charge of creating the schedule,

you are free to take anytime you choose to schedule time off for a full day,

 an afternoon, or a 3-hour lunch.

Your significant other or a friend might be able to assist you in creating your schedule

 if you are having trouble deciding on your priorities for the day and the week.
